Tigers compete at Drake Alternate MeetPublished by
ST. PETER, Minn. Two members of the Dakota Wesleyan University track and field team recorded top-10 times or marks in school history Saturday at the Drake Alternate Meet, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. Jessica Neises ran the fourth-best 400-meter hurdle race in school history, and Abby Fossum recorded the 10th-best mark in triple jump in DWU outdoor track history. Neises finished ninth in the hurdle race in 1:12.41. Fossum took eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 33-feet-1 inch. Other top-20 finishers for the DWU women included Ariana Aramptzis, who took 11th in the javelin with a mark of 87-5. Teammate Jessica Fossum finished 17th in the javelin with a toss of 85-4. Jamie Geho took 11th in the 5,000-meter run in 21:53.37, and Skylar Forgey took 18th in the 1,500-meter run in 5:16.05. Daniel Porter took fifth in the triple jump to pace the Tiger men with a leap of 42-2. He also took 15th in the long jump with a mark of 19-6.25. Isaac Van Essen took 11th in the long jump with a leap of 20-7.75. Ryan Antaya also recorded a top-10 finish as he took ninth in the javelin with a throw of 143-feet. The Tigers 400-meter relay squad finished ninth in 45.09 seconds. Kellan Willet took 12th in the 5,000-meter run in 16:45.22, and Jeff Sahli finished 18th in 18:25.38. Paul Apenhorst took 17th in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:05.43.
