FAYETTEVILLE, Mo. In two seasons with the Dakota Wesleyan University track and field team, Nicole Court-Menendez is already one of just a handful of people in school history to earn three All-American honors.

Saturday afternoon, she earned the right to try for a fourth straight All-American honor.

Court-Menendez hit the NAIA A standard in the 5,000 meter race walk at the Central Methodist Invite Saturday afternoon in Fayetteville, Mo. Her time of 27:08.6 was good for third at the meet. It was also a personal best by 40 seconds, a school record and is in the top five in the NAIA, along with meeting the A standard in the NAIA.

The Lewiston, Maine, native already owned the school record in the race walk with a time of 27:50.88, set last season. She is a three-time All-American in the race walk, which is a 3,000 meter race in the indoor season and 5,000 at outdoor meets. She also owns the school s 3,000-meter indoor race walk record of 15:54.41, set in 2013.

Court-Menendez is already a two-time All-American in the indoor race walk and looks for her second outdoor All-American honor this May. She has taken eighth in the race walk in all three national championships, and a fourth honor would make her one of just two track and field athletes male or female in DWU history to earn four or more All-American honors.
